I hope you have taken time for yourself and done things to relieve stress during such tumultuous times. I hear you. I know you’re scared and worried about the future of our country. Democrats are taking it to the courts, to Congress, and to the streets! Here are some of the things I’ve been working on to fight back: | Taking it to Congress We had our first DOGE Oversight Subcommittee hearing last Wednesday. My goal as the Ranking Member is to find bipartisan ways to ensure government works for everyone – not just the billionaires and Donald Trump’s friends. The American people deserve answers because what is happening is not normal. Elon Musk is an unelected, unqualified billionaire who only cares for his bottom line and not what is best for the American people. I defended Americans and . | I also introduced the with the Ranking Member of the Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jamie Raskin (MD-08). Elon Musk and his DOGE followers feel empowered to take illegal actions because as Special Government Employees, the taxpayers would pay for their lawsuit settlements. My legislation would ensure that Elon Musk and the rest of Elon’s DOGE cronies are liable for their own legal settlements due to the illegal actions that they are taking. American taxpayers should not be left holding the bag. Taking it to the Streets It is time to get loud! I rallied and protested with the people in front of the Department of the Treasury, the Department of Labor, and the EPA. Change does not occur on its own, and that’s why we all need to fight back! Follow me on social media where I will continue to share more about how this system works, what you should be watching, and more ideas about how to fight back. | Bringing It Back HomeI held a Telephone Town Hall with New Mexico Attorney General Raúl Torrez.
