Hi,
I wanted to make sure you saw our critical email urging action
from state lawmakers to curb fast fashion and its toll on the planet.
Through local initiatives, we can make a
difference.
Send a letter to your legislators
today.

Hi,
Fast Fashion is The Emperor’s New Clothes – a fairytale
falsehood fabricated by unscrupulous people to convince us something
is beautiful that is not. Not when you look at the damage it
does to the planet and to its workers.
But good news! Lawmakers in the E.U. have said “enough!” By the end
of Parliament’s 2024 session in June, ground-breaking fashion
legislation was adopted to:
- Mandate brands to identify, prevent, and mitigate adverse human
rights and environmental impacts
- Make brands pay for the collecting, sorting and recycling their
waste
- Prohibit brands from destroying unsold goods
- Restrict clothing waste shipments to countries like Africa and
Chile
- Design clothing for durability and recyclability
- Require digital product passports on clothing displaying their
contents, impacts and care
- End “green claims” without scientific proof
The United States is way behind! Few consequential
bills are in progress, and only a few states have introduced
meaningful regulations.
ACTION IS NEEDED! We need Regulation now! Send a
letter to your state legislators detailing what has to be done.
Your voice means everything when it comes to an
industry that tries to fool consumers about the true cost of their
clothes.
For action,

Threads & Twisted Yarns: Legislating the Reform of
Fashion.
