John -- One of the things I’ve learned over the years as an activist is that we can often make the most difference right in our own backyards. That’s why I pay the most attention to the races close to home where I think grassroots donors can make the biggest impact. In 2018, we put it all on the line to flip 7 House seats right here in California. No one thought we could do it, but we succeeded, and it was incredible. Right now, the district where I know we can swing the outcome is in Eastern California where Democrat Chris Bubser is running an historic race to flip California’s 8th District. We have the chance to flip one more House seat in California by electing Chris Bubser. Will you make a donation to her campaign today? I had the chance to speak with Chis at length about her candidacy. Chris has direct experience in the health care sector, having worked to bring life-saving drugs to market during the AIDs epidemic in the early ‘90s. She also knows firsthand from caring for her daughter, who has epilepsy, how hard it can be to access affordable treatment and manage health care. This is the expertise that we need as we battle the current crisis. Over the past year, Chris and her team have traveled all across this district to meet with members of the community, and her support has steadily grown -- right now, the district only has a 4% GOP registration advantage.
