Donald Trump and Elon Musk are taking a chainsaw to every program in the federal government that does anything to help everyday people.

Their goal is to tear the government down to the studs leaving nothing left that might limit their wealth or power.

It's an absolute f*cking nightmare.

What's worse is that the corporate media is bending over backward to normalize what is effectively an oligarchic coup d'etat with headlines describing Trump as "aggressive," "bold," and "challenging conventions."

Everything we care about is in danger, and Common Dreams is fighting back by exposing their lies and corruption as we lift up the voices of those working to stop them.
