Connecticut’s Democratic leaders—Governor Ned Lamont, Attorney General William Tong, our US Senators and Representatives, and our Democratic state legislators— are working together to deliver real results and stop the MAGA attacks on our state and nation.
They are:
* Showing up, speaking out, and taking action to stop this administration's illegal, egregious actions. – All of our members of Congress are doing everything they can to highlight the presidential abuse of power and hold the perpetrators accountable. From Senator Murphy’s late-night filibuster to delay a GOP rubber-stamp confirmation, to Rep. DeLauro’s condemnation of illegal efforts to undermine the Congress’ Constitutional authority, all of your federal officials are fighting back. They’re introducing legislation, speaking out in the halls of Congress, holding town halls in Connecticut, and sounding every alarm to stop these unprecedented attacks on Americans and our allies .


* Defending reproductive rights – Gov. Lamont and CT Democrats have made Connecticut a national leader in protecting reproductive rights, expanding access to care, and strengthening protections for providers.


* Taking on Big Pharma – Connecticut Democrats fought to cap insulin costs at $25 per month and increase drug price transparency, making healthcare more affordable for working families, even if DC Republicans return to the bad old days of higher costs and denied care. With Medicaid and Medicare in the administration’s sights, we have much, much more work to do to ensure everyone gets the affordable health care they need.


* Fighting for stronger gun safety laws – AG Tong has taken on illegal gun dealers, securing nearly $900,000 in penalties and enforcing laws that keep firearms out of dangerous hands. Connecticut is a model for the nation, and Democrats will keep working to reduce gun violence every day.


* Investing in climate action and clean energy – Connecticut is increasing funding for clean energy initiatives and holding polluters accountable for toxic contamination.


* Holding Big Tech accountable – AG Tong is leading a national lawsuit against Meta and TikTok for knowingly harming children and failing to address the dangers of social media.
