Hi there,
Our DC performance oversight training on Tuesday, February 11th went well and you can find DC Policy Director, Alex Baca's recap on it here. A recording of the training can be found here, and hearings are still happening! The whole list of them can be found here, and ones close to our mission are listed below and on our calendar for your convenience.
Next up: the DC Office of Planning has yet to launch their rewrite of the Comprehensive Plan, but we would like the get the conversation started by discussing the current plan and what it means for housing production in DC. Join Alex Baca for a "Comp Plan 101" session on Zoom. Bring your questions!
DC Transportation Equity Network's Teach-in for Transit Equity Day, will be held on Thursday, February 27th, where you can learn more about the Olmstead Plan for DC. We'll discuss how accessibility affects equity in our transit systems.

Maryland Housing Advocacy Day Wednesday, March 5, 9:00am-1:00pm
Annapolis City Hall, 160 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, MD Help make a difference! Join Greater Greater Washington, Coalition for Smarter Growth, and Montgomery for All in Annapolis for a Housing Advocacy Day.
This is a crucial time to share our stories about why abundant, affordable housing matters to Marylanders, and ask our elected leaders to take action. No previous state legislature experience required—we’ll train you in everything you need to know to be an effective advocate for sustainable, inclusive housing policy!
Join us at Annapolis City Hall for coffee and donuts, and we’ll go over what to expect and how you can most effectively communicate with your legislators. Then, we’ll head over to the House and Senate and meet with representatives from Montgomery County and Prince George’s County to advocate for key housing legislation.
RSVP to let us know you’ll be there! |
