Governor DeWine Appoints Woodworth to
Cleveland Municipal Court
(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today announced the appointment of Christopher Woodworth to the Cleveland Municipal Court.
Woodworth, of Cleveland, will assume office on March 10, 2025, and will be taking the seat formerly held by Judge Lauren C. Moore. He will serve the remainder of the unfinished term and will need to run for election in November 2025 to retain the seat.
Woodworth began his law career in 2014 as a criminal defense attorney in Cuyahoga County. Since 2021, he has served as an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office.
In 2008, Woodworth received a bachelor's degree in political science from The Ohio State University. He received his juris doctorate from Cleveland State University in 2013.
From 2008 to 2010, Woodworth served in the AmeriCorps in Columbus.
