[Family Policy Alliance Logo <[link removed] Policy Alliance>] Is this the turning point? [Chloe Cole image and quote <[link removed]>] Dear John , Transgenderism in America is out of control. But has the battle against it hit the turning point? There are signs that it has—and you have joined with the FPA team to play a powerful role in that. [The next few months will say a lot about the real answer to that question <[link removed]>] . More on that in a second. But just for a moment, reflect with me on some good news—the impact that we’ve made together. After all, just a few years ago, the transgender agenda was tearing through American halls of power—and classrooms, sports teams and libraries—like a runaway train. Pro-transgender laws were being passed in lots of states, with essentially no effective opposition. Nearly 20 states had even banned any counseling that would help a minor overcome unwanted transgender (or homosexual) feelings or identity. And most conservative politicians wanted nothing to do with addressing these kinds of issues. That’s when our team launched a defense of kids from the ravages of this agenda: In 2017, your FPA team wrote the complex legislation to stop transgender drugs and surgeries for kids . Then we launched a movement—we called it “Help Not Harm”—to train state legislators and equip our allied state organizations to get these protections passed. So far, 24 states have enacted these measures, protecting tens of thousands of vulnerable kids—with more in process! In the meantime, with your support, we were on the ground in Idaho in 2020, leading the groundbreaking fight to #SaveGirlsSports . That was just the beginning. As of now, with your help, 24 states have passed laws to keep boys out of girls’ sports! And in the 2024 elections, conservative politicians were emboldened to run ads on these issues that were credited by pundits with winning races. In fact, analysts on both sides said that the most impactful ad of the whole election was Donald Trump’s ad on Kamala Harris’s transgender agenda. You may recall the punch line: “Kamala is for they/them; President Trump is for you.” And then, within the first few days in office, President Trump signed Executive Orders keeping boys out of girls sports, and protecting kids from the harm of sterilizing and mutilating “gender-transition” drugs and surgeries! My friend, all of this is major progress over the last eight years—and you helped make it happen. But the battle is hardly over. In fact, it's ramping up in a huge way, and [<[link removed]>] [the next few months could decide which way it tips . <[link removed]>] Blue State Battles That’s because the Left isn’t letting up in its push to “trans” our kids and grandkids. More states and cities are trying to follow the lead of states like California and Minnesota—working to pass bills to make their states a so-called “sanctuary” for kids from other states who are questioning their sex. What that really means is that these states will essentially kidnap minors—keeping them from their parents—and then pay for transgender drugs and surgeries. It’s an outrage, and we cannot allow another state to pass such a bill! Red State Opportunities & Urgent Needs Everywhere There are also opportunities to pass urgently needed legislation. The fight to extend our landmark Help Not Harm legislative protections—and to save girls’ sports—continues in roughly half of the states—and now at the federal level, too. And to be clear, we still need federal and state laws, even though we now have Executive Orders on these two issues, because a future president could wipe those EOs out with Orders that deny truth and reality once again. But there’s more: Defining the sexes. Our founders never would have thought it necessary, but it’s critical that we define male and female in state law to combat the Left’s attempts to use the courts and bureaucrats to expand transgenderism. This may be the bill that the Left hates the most based on the response in the six states where it has already passed. Helping the victims. Many who go down the path of drugs and surgeries to change their bodies come to regret it—and they can’t be abandoned. The “Detransitioners Bill of Rights” protects their right to corrective action—medically and legally. Protecting parents. In blue and red states, there are nightmare stories of parents who have lost custody of their children simply for raising them according to their biological sex. The “Defining Abuse Child Protection Act” stops such injustices! John , [I need your help <[link removed]>] . This battle is huge, and it’s in nearly every state. In addition to your prayers and speaking up, my team needs significant resources for testifying in state capitals, training state legislators, equipping allied state groups, informing and mobilizing citizens and more. Together, we’ve accomplished much, but this fight—for our kids and their very future—still hangs in the balance. [Please stand with us today <[link removed]>] . For our kids and our nation,
