John —
Faith, hope, and love are alive and well in Oregon communities. I saw all three in action as we unveiled a new living space for homeless families in need of stability before they transition to long-term housing.
Multiple communities have stepped up to meet the challenges of our homelessness crisis and provide transitional housing to Oregonians in need. In Dallas, Oregon, they’ve opened 12 new shelter beds this month with 8 more coming in March.
Our focused efforts to tackle homelessness are projected to rehouse 3,300 households across the state and prevent another 24,000 households from experiencing homelessness in the first place.
This progress won’t just help people right now — it will change lives.
I’m proud to support initiatives like these as Oregon’s Governor. I’m working with leaders across the state to build more affordable housing and get rid of red tape that slows down construction so all Oregon residents have a safe, affordable place to call home.
Let’s keep going, John. If you support my efforts to facilitate solutions to the homelessness crisis, please consider fueling my work with a contribution today.
