In the wake of the 2024 election, there’s been a lot of discussion about the way forward for Democrats. This week, Maura has made waves by talking about her vision for the party.

If you saw her interviews with the New York Times, on Late Night with Seth Meyers, or read about her testimony to the Massachusetts House Ways and Means committee, then you know that Maura thinks the way forward is by standing up for what we believe.

The best response to Trump raising costs and making life harder for everyday Americans? Delivering for people.

In her NYT interview, Maura talked about how as Donald Trump drives up prices and guts health care in order to slash taxes for billionaires, Democrats need to make sure their “North Star” is delivering for every American. She talked about how she’s working to make life more affordable, build more homes, keep communities safe, and invest in our schools.

When Seth Meyers asked her if the Democratic Party had a plan, she told him that we needed to get out and show people what they’re doing to address everyday needs.

What has Maura been doing? Passing legislation on issue after issue to deliver for Massachusetts, from the most ambitious housing bill in our history, to expanding health care access, to passing free school meals and the most generous Child Tax Credit in the country.

And in her testimony to the Ways and Means Committee, she explained that her new budget isn’t just focused on building on her progress so far — it’s also about protecting crucial rights and freedoms that could come under fire from the Trump Administration.

Maura is taking on costs that have been rising for too long. She’s standing up for rights that are under attack. She’s responding to division and fear by bringing people together to build a stronger commonwealth.
