OK, Team Abby -- we’re getting into the final stretch now. I’m Paul Begala -- political consultant, former White House staffer, and proud Democrat. You’ve heard from me before, and I’m coming back to you at this critical moment.
The 2020 election will determine the course of the next four years and beyond. The country is ready for change, but it’s going to be up to us to make it happen and it will be decided in battlegrounds.
The White House? Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania. The Senate? Arizona, North Carolina, and Texas (don’t underestimate Democrats in my home state!).
And the House? Toss-up races -- like Abby’s here in Iowa’s First District -- are the front line. We need to win everywhere, but especially here.

Donald Trump and the far-right Washington GOP will do everything they can to beat us here. They’ve already had their dark-money groups run over $1 million in TV ads, spreading misleading information.
Mike Pence and dozens of Trump’s top surrogates are running around the state.
And just last week, Trump endorsed Abby’s opponent, surely raising her buckets of cash and rallying outside special interests to her agenda.
So, it’s up to us, the everyday Democratic voters, to fight back. Not just at the ballot box, but by investing in true leaders and passionate advocates for our vision like Abby.
That’s why I’m asking you right now: chip in anything you can before midnight tonight. I’m counting on you, Abby depends on you, and our future needs you.
