Hi there, it's Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester.
Last week marked the end of Black History Month, and this year it was even more special to me. I'm just one of 5 Black women to ever serve in the U.S. Senate.
I closed out Black History Month by appearing on PBS with my sister Senator, Angela Alsobrooks.

I said this the other night, and I'll say it right now: My eyes are on the prize.
That's making sure people have good jobs. That they have clean drinking water and healthcare. That the Social Security they've been paying into for decades is available to them.
That's the prize to me, team.
If you want to win that prize for our country and ensure that every day Americans aren't left behind while the Trump administration caters to billionaires, I'm asking you to chip in $10 right now. Your grassroots contribution helps power Senate Democrats to keep fighting for you.

Thank you,
Lisa
