Presidential Election Results: The 2024 Green Party ticket of Jill Stein and Butch Ware received the second highest presidential general election write-in total in any state in U.S. history. The New York State Board of Elections released the official vote from the November election, including the write-in vote for declared write-in presidential candidates. The only candidate with a higher total was independent candidate Eugene McCarthy in California in 1976, who received 58,412. Also, team Stein/Ware finished third in the national presidential election, behind the Democrat and Republican candidates, placing above the Libertarians and other parties.
