Fellow activist,
This week, NPP’s founding Chief Executive Officer Kadida Kenner was interviewed by Bucks County Beacon, and we wanted to share it with you today:
Here is a quick synopsis of the podcast by host Cyril Mychalejko:
I first spoke to Kadida Kenner 3.5 years ago when I was writing a progressive column for the conservative Bucks County Courier Times when her voting rights organization the New Pennsylvania Project had just launched. Since then her group has grown to 65 full- and part-time staffers across the commonwealth, and Kadida and her colleagues tireless advocacy in defense of democracy and voting rights is needed now more than ever. She joins us today on The Signal to talk about her lifelong journey in civil rights activism and what the New Pennsylvania Project is currently working on in order to defend, expand, and strengthen voting rights and voter engagement across the state.
As Kadida stated, team NPP is out year-round, working to close the voter registration gap and provide critical civic engagement centering Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth across PA. We are growing – hosting town halls, community conversations, and more – to ensure everyone has what they need to participate in our democracy.

Cheers,
Team NPP
The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education, and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Through civic engagement, we ensure all eligible voters feel compelled to exercise their freedom to vote in the Commonwealth.
