Yesterday was International Women’s Day but to leading Democrats in Congress, including those who call themselves progressive, it may as well have just been another Saturday.

That’s because the Democrats — like Hakeem Jeffries, Joe Neguse, and Chuck Schumer — who claim to care about women’s rights and human rights in general were shockingly silent about the horrors Palestinian women have been suffering for decades and for the past year and a half especially.

Women in Gaza have been murdered, lost children and loved ones, lost limbs, and have been permanently disabled by the US-funded war that started in October, 2023. Horrifyingly, many women and even young girls in Gaza have been sexually abused by Israeli soldiers, some of whom even posted on social media about stealing underwear from women in Gaza.

There’s even a 7000 word long Wikipedia page about the systemic sexual violence waged against Palestinians during the ongoing war.

If we’re going to take women’s rights and human rights seriously, we need leaders who will stand up for all women and girls, including the Palestinians who are suffering the pain inflicted by an American-funded army.

That means stopping the unrestricted flow of money and weapons to Israel’s military and pressuring the members of Congress who send that money to grow a spine.

We’re calling on Congressional Democrats to return all of their AIPAC money and hold Israel accountable for its atrocities — either that, or get out of Congress! Can you chip in $10 or whatever you can spare to help us get rid of the members of Congress who support war crimes and clean up Congress once and for all?
