Hi John, Adam here.

As I do all I can in the Senate to deliver for families like yours, it's
important for me to pull back the curtain and offer a behind-the-scenes look at
my work to provide oversight and accountability, legislate to stop the abuses of
the Trump Administration, and share how I'm communicating directly with this
work.

I'll continue to share regular updates like the one below. Thank you for reading

There are a lot of ways to hold the administration accountable — through
litigation, legislation, mobilization, and more. And this email is about
just one of them:

Investigation.

Oversight isn’t just impeachments or clashes at big hearings, although
those things are really important.

For example, I have already shared some of my efforts to expose Kash
Patel’s shady dealings, extreme views, and attacks on the rule of law. But
just as a reminder…

But there is a lot more to the process of investigating Trump
administration corruption and exposing it:

First up, Elon Musk – the world’s richest man who is attacking Social
Security and calling it a Ponzi scheme, who is illegally firing federal
employees, and who appears to be stealing the private data of the American
people to feed his ego or his AI algorithms. All while he is using his
position to enrich himself and expand the billions in contracts his
businesses already enjoy. And, attacking me and anyone else who will stand
up to him. Constantly.

Despite the fact that no one elected him to do anything, Elon Musk has
been empowered by Trump to make massive cuts to the federal government in
violation of law and court order.

Whether it’s the FAA suddenly installing Starlink satellite terminals…

Hundreds of jobs cut at the Transportation Department which was
investigating Tesla…

DOGE targeting the SEC (also investigating Elon)...

The State Department having a $400 million order for armored Teslas…

Or gutting jobs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (also investigating
an Elon company)…

Each of these flagrant conflicts of interest need to be called out and
investigated. And evidence gathered for the courts so they can enforce
their own orders and make the illegality stop.

My work has also clearly been noticed by Donald Trump:

We need to dig into issues both big and small — and explain to the
American people how Donald Trump is cutting billions from Medicaid and
food programs to provide tax breaks to his fellow billionaires.

He’s also putting lives in danger.

Donald Trump decided to detain immigrants in federal prisons as part of
his push to cruelly target immigrant communities and undocumented
immigrants.

As part of my oversight efforts, I recently released testimony from a
Bureau of Prison’s whistleblower in California raising significant
concerns, and asking hard questions about how to safely manage
interactions between incarcerated criminals and civil immigration
detainees, and how staff will be trained to manage this.

We need to use all the tools at our disposal to hold Republicans
accountable and expose their malfeasance to the American public.

Just a couple of days ago, Ruben Gallego and I took to the Senate Floor to
force a vote on a resolution pushing back against Trump’s coddling of
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and his attacks on Ukraine — from calling
Zelensky a dictator to falsely saying that Ukraine started the war.

I’ve held the Senate Floor overnight. I’ve pushed back on GOP efforts to
stop dangerous nominees like RFK, Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard. And I’m not going
to stop:

Oversight is critically important. And it’s one of the best tools at our
