Dear John,

Essential to feeding our communities, almost 1/3 of independent small farms are
on the brink of bankruptcy amid the coronavirus pandemic. However, the Trump
Administration is prioritizing bailouts for Big Ag instead of relief to the
farmers who need it most.

These small farmers are, as a whole, more sustainable than corporate,
pesticide-intensive mega-farms.

To address this problem, Senator Gillibrand has introduced legislation. Her bill
would provide a one-time debt forgiveness loan of up to $250,000 to small
farmers -- which, unlike Big Ag, have received minimal benefits under the CARES
Act.

Use your voice to help small farmers get the support they need. You can help
push Congress to pass this bill!

Demand your senators provide relief that will help family farmers continue to
feed our communities!

As we continue to face challenges that the coronavirus crisis hurtles at us,
small farmers need your help.

The pandemic has pushed the small organic farmers and other family farmers that
usually sell to farmers markets and restaurants to the brink. These farmers are
critical to producing healthy, sustainable, bee and people-friendly food. If we
lose them, most won’t come back -- we will be left with huge, industrial
producers that use massive amounts of Big Ag’s bee-toxic pesticides that are
wiping out our pollinators.

By putting resources in the hands of small organic farmers, you can help protect
bees that pollinate one out of three bites of food.

We do not need bailouts for Big Ag. We need support for the people who support
our pollinators.

Tell your senators: Support the proposed Relief for America’s Small Farmers Act!

The fallout from the coronavirus can been seen throughout every city.
Meatpacking plants have become COVID-19 hotspots. Big Ag is putting its workers
at risk of infection. More than 20 meatpacking plants have closed in the last
month as concerns continued for worker safety.

Part of the solution? Support small independent sustainable farmers!

Senator Gillibrand’s bill provides relief that small farmers and ranchers need
to support their local food systems. Supporting this bill allows these farmers
to continue to provide healthy, fresh, sustainable food to their communities
during a time of crisis.

Tell your senators: We need to provide support to family farmers!
