Dear Jack,
Being back In Loudoun, speaking with community members, and hearing your thoughts on this year’s General Assembly Session and the broader public issues, enables me to best represent the district. The feedback you provide is critical for successful public service and I hope the information provided in this week’s outreach affords you ample opportunity to weigh in!

Experiencing Delays with Federal Programs?
With the new Presidential administration's cuts to federal programs, we want to know if you are experiencing any difficulty or delays. For example, if there are unforeseen slow downs or disruptions to disbursements of federal funds such as Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, or benefits from Veteran's Affairs, please report them to us using our office’s constituent service form:

Emergency Committee on the Impacts of Federal Workers and Funding Reductions
The Virginia House Speaker’s Emergency Committee on the Impacts of Federal Workers and Funding Reductions will meet throughout the Commonwealth to hear from different regions about how they have been impacted by the ongoing layoffs of federal employees and cuts to various federal programs. I am working with the Chairman of that committee to ensure Loudoun has a voice in our regional discussion. More details will become available as the committee’s meeting schedule becomes finalized. While we may be facing difficult changes on the federal level, state and local officials are working to develop responses that help Virginians and protect our economic stability.
Resources for Federal Employees
With the recent layoffs conducted by the Presidential administration, many families in our community are in limbo about where they will find relief or new employment opportunities. My office has put together a resource list for Loudoun County including state and local relief options for those who have been recently laid off. We will work to update this list with additional services as necessary. Click on the button below to view our page on Resources for Federal Workers.

Celebrating Ramadan
February 28th marked the beginning of the holiest month in Islam: Ramadan. It is believed to be when the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. During this month, Muslims around the world fast from food and drink from dawn to sunset, focusing on self-discipline, gratitude, prayer and charity. To those who celebrate, have a blessed Ramadan!

How My Office Can Help You
Navigating state agencies can be confusing and difficult at times. As your delegate, I can help you communicate with state agencies such as the Virginia Employment Commission, Departments of Taxation, Social Services, Transportation, and more! I can also submit inquiries with those agencies on your behalf and help you engage with the state agency you need. There are limits to what I can do, however. For example, I am unable to expedite cases or force state agencies to favor your inquiry, provide legal advice or recommend a specific attorney, intervene with judicial issues, overturn decisions, or be involved with matters involving private businesses.
Whether you want to bring an issue to my attention, need my office’s assistance, or want to invite me to a community event, please reach out! If there is any way I can assist you, please let me know here: [link removed] [[link removed]]
