For over a century, the push for women’s rights has driven meaningful progress, but true empowerment must include and uplift all women, including LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary individuals.

On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, impact, and contributions of women everywhere. This day is a reminder of both the progress made and the work still needed to ensure every woman is supported, welcomed, and empowered.

** Resources to Support and Empower Women
------------------------------------------------------------

Empowerment goes beyond advocacy—it’s also about ensuring access to safe spaces, mental health support, and resources that help female-identifying young people thrive. At The Trevor Project, we provide tools to foster self-care, mental wellness, and community support for LGBTQ+ women and allies. As we celebrate International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month, let’s continue to uplift and support every woman, ensuring that empowerment is inclusive of all identities. By fostering welcoming spaces and amplifying diverse voices, we can honor the progress made while advocating for a future where every woman thrives.

Support from individuals like you enables The Trevor Project to continue our work to end LGBTQ+ youth suicide through our crisis services as well as the development of resources and guides like these to promote education and allyship.
