On Wednesday night, I joined NBC’s Late Night With Seth Meyers to talk about how Democratic governors are getting things done.

While we work to address problems everyday Americans are facing, Donald Trump is busy jacking up prices and giving billionaires tax breaks – all at the expense of the American people.

That’s why I’m personally reaching out to ask you to support the Democratic Governors Association. Please, John – will you chip in $3 to help Dem govs continue delivering and stop Trumpism in states across the country?

John, here’s what I told Seth: as a governor, every day I’m trying to deliver for folks in my state, looking for solutions to the most pressing issues Bay Staters are facing. How do I lower costs? How do I build more homes? How do I make sure they have access to health care and good schools?

We’re working to get to the root of these problems – to make lasting change for the communities we serve. Last year, Massachusetts was even recognized as the best state to live in the country.

In stark contrast, Donald Trump is letting Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, cut funding for cancer research, threaten Social Security, and fire thousands of essential federal workers, including veterans. In his address to Congress, I didn’t hear him say anything about addressing the needs of everyday Americans. He ran on a promise of lowering costs, and all he’s done is make life harder and more expensive for the people of Massachusetts and around the country.

But Democratic governors like myself are fighting for progress – and standing as the last line of defense on our fundamental freedoms.
