Together, we are witnessing MAGA extremists steamroll our institutions in an all-out attempt to destroy the federal government. Mass layoffs of critical government workers. Purges of dissenting views. Systematic dismantling of essential services for millions of people in the U.S. and across the globe. Blocking key media outlets from the White House. What is happening right now in Washington, D.C., comes on the heels of years of Republican efforts to undermine fair representation across the country. We must treat this threat with the urgency it demands — and the most effective way to fight back is to ensure that our elected leaders truly reflect the will of the people. We must be able to fund this work across the entire country — from upcoming redistricting in Ohio to key state legislature and judicial races that will have lasting ramifications for our maps and our elections.
