Today is International Women’s Day, john!
On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the achievements of women everywhere, but we must also take a moment to recognize that our fight for equality is far from over.
Right now, women’s rights are under attack. Extreme Republicans are working to roll back reproductive freedom, block efforts to ensure equal pay, and make it harder for women to access affordable healthcare and childcare. They are even trying to make it harder for women to vote, because those who changed their names when they got married could face even more hurdles to prove U.S. citizenship for a national voter ID.
Instead of moving forward, they want to drag us backward. And if we don’t fight back, they’ll keep chipping away at the rights people generations before us fought so hard to win. As a pro-choice woman doctor in the U.S. House of Representatives, I know how important it is to have leaders who will stand up and defend women’s rights at every turn. But I can’t do it alone.
It's on all of us to make our voices heard today—and every day—in the fight for gender equality. Will you join me in committing to the fights ahead by signing my petition today? >> [link removed]
This isn’t just about politics—it’s about our lives, our collective freedoms, and our futures.
It’s about making sure women and girls have the right to make their own choices, receive fair pay, and have access to life-saving healthcare should they ever need it. It's also about having control over our own destinies.
Let’s show the GOP that we’re not backing down. Add your name to stand with all women today. >> [link removed]
