Hi John,

By now I’m sure you’ve heard of the “Safeguard American Voter Eligibility” (SAVE) Act: one of the most restrictive voter ID requirements we've ever seen. We’re expecting a vote any day now, so make sure you tell Congress to vote NO on the SAVE Act now before it’s too late [[link removed]]!

Take action: [link removed]

The SAVE Act would create unnecessary barriers to voting, by requiring voters to require strict proof of citizenship, such as a passport or birth certificate, to register or update voter registration. Simply based on unfounded claims of voter fraud. This bill would suppress and silence millions of voters, by requiring every citizen to provide a passport or birth certificate in person to register or update their voter information. The SAVE Act has also been attributed to a poll tax [[link removed]], as it would be expensive for those who have lost these documents to get them replaced. The SAVE Act is an unprecedented assault on voting rights — don’t be fooled.

Our democracy only works when everyone has equal access to the ballot box. We can't let the SAVE Act pass. Now's the time to stand up for our access to the ballots. Will you take a few minutes and email your Member of Congress today [[link removed]]?

Take action: [link removed]

People are talking about the SAVE Act, now is the time to add your voice [[link removed]].

Stand up for our democracy — we need you.

Sincerely,
Britney VanCitters (she/her)
