I recently had the opportunity to speak at Emgage Virginia's Emerging Leaders program, where I conducted an advocacy training. |
As-salamu alaykum John,
Ramadan is a time for reflection, renewal, and meaningful action. It calls us to uphold justice—defending the oppressed, amplifying the voices of the silenced, and confronting wrongdoing wherever it rears its head. This commitment lies at the core of our work at Emgage Action. Across the nation and around the world, threats to civil liberties, human rights, and human dignity persist. The struggles of marginalized communities serve as a powerful reminder that the fight for justice transcends borders.
But we are not powerless. We are mobilizing—in the halls of Congress, in state legislatures, and at the ballot box. We are working to advance policies rooted in justice, equality, and human dignity. We have organized tirelessly to protect our communities and to amplify the voices of those too often ignored. We are making an impact, but this work is far from over. Together, we will continue to push forward and create lasting change.

This Ramadan, we need you. Your support fuels our efforts to combat harmful policies, defend the rights of Muslims here and abroad, and push for a future where our communities are safe, respected, and empowered.
The Quran reminds us, “O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah.” [Quran, 4:135]. This is our charge.
Together, we can build a future defined by justice and peace, for our community here in America and for all those striving for equity around the world.
Join us. Let your voice be heard. This Ramadan, your support can help make meaningful change. |
