John,
On International Women’s Day, I find myself reflecting on the incredible women from Delaware who have left an indelible mark on our nation’s history. Women like Louise Conner, who fought tirelessly to introduce and ratify the Equal Rights Amendment in Delaware. Women like Lisa Blunt Rochester and Sarah McBride, my fellow members of Delaware’s congressional delegation, who continue to be trailblazers for the First State. And women like my late friend, Muriel Gilman, a pioneer for working women in Wilmington.
These women, and so many others, remind us of the power of perseverance. They also remind us that the fight is not over. Here’s the stark reality: Women’s rights in America are under siege.
The GOP has made it clear they are coming for our fundamental freedoms. Birth Control. Abortion. The right to vote.
This is shameful. This is un-American. I will not let it stand.
America is strong because of the trailblazing women who have fought for equality. We owe it to them, and the next generation of American women, to move forwards – not back. If you believe in a future where women’s rights are protected — not dismantled — add your name to our petition today >> [link removed]
