It’s Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, and today is International Women’s Day.
As the co-owner of an auto repair shop, the mom of a toddler, and someone who lives in a rural county, my perspective is a rarity in Congress. But so many Americans do share my experiences–like struggling to get a mortgage or not having enough childcare options near my home.
I’m not your typical member of Congress, but that’s why I’m able to get things done. I’m fighting to make a real difference in people’s lives and bring power back to our local communities.
As a co-chair of the Blue Dogs this cycle, it’s important to me that we support the next generation of working-class women to do the same thing I have done. Trust me, if there were more of me in Congress, we would get a lot more done.
Together, we can take back our government and get to work!
- Rep. Marie Gluensekamp Perez
Blue Dogs are normal people in Congress who want to get sh*t done. We believe in freedom and we’re fighting to protect yours. We’re pro-America, pro-democracy, and working to pass fiscally responsible policies that benefit everyday, hard-working Americans.
