John,

This week started with Donald Trump and J.D. Vance shamelessly berating Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and doing Vladimir Putin’s bidding straight from the Oval Office.

It continued with Trump recklessly starting a trade war with Mexico and Canada, our two closest trading partners — a move that made U.S. stocks fall and caused widespread panic among consumers.

And just a few days ago, we listened to Trump spread more harmful lies during his joint address to Congress.

John, a lot has happened this week. That’s why I wanted to take some time today to reach out to you and ask how you’re feeling.

Will you fill out this survey to share your thoughts with me? It won’t take long and I’d really appreciate your response.

Recently, I joined Senators Peter Welch and Bernie Sanders for a virtual town hall. It’s clear that Vermonters are deeply concerned about the Trump administration’s illegal attacks on working families and our democracy.

I heard from seniors worried about Trump’s plans to slash Medicaid, mental health care providers concerned about the safety and well-being of trans and non-binary youth, and teachers and students terrified about the steps Trump is taking to dismantle the Department of Education.

While I know that many of you share those concerns, John, I also know that you have your own stories to tell. That’s why I hope you’ll take a moment to fill out this survey and share what’s on your mind.

I’m so grateful to have you in my corner. Thanks for being a key member of this team.
