Justice Democrats

Did you see this, John?

A post on X from @AdamWren reading: 'New @playbookdc: Last month, a group of moderate Democratic consultants, campaign staffers, elected officials & party leaders gathered in Loudoun County, Virginia, for a retreat where they plotted their party's comeback. We got their takeaways.' The post included an image reading: 'Those gathered then laid out 20 solutions for how Democrats can regain working-class trust and reconnect with them culturally. More than a few stuck out to Playbook: The party should “embrace patriotism, community, and traditional American imagery”; Democrats should “ban far-left candidate questionnaires and refuse to participate in forums that create ideological purity tests” and “move away from the dominance of small-dollar donors whose preferences may not align with the broader electorate”; They should “push back against far-left staffers and groups that exert a disproportionate influence on policy and messaging”; Candidates should “get out of elite circles and into real communities (e.g., tailgates, gun shows, local restaurants, churches)”; and
The party needs to “own the failures of Democratic governance in large cities and commit to improving local government.”'

It seems moderate Democratic leadership is continuing to learn nothing from 2024 and would rather blame the left for its massive failures at the ballot box.

Instead of listening to the Party’s base and disconnecting from the same corporate and billionaire donors who support Trump and MAGA, the Democratic establishment is planning on moving even further right and depending less on small-dollar donors.

We wonder why winning elections with small-dollar donations from working-class people is so threatening to billionaire-bought politicians, consultants, and party leaders?

If the Democratic Party refuses to clean up shop on its own and reject corporate PAC and millionaire/billionaire contributions, then we’ll do it for them by recruiting working-class progressives to challenge them in the 2026 primaries.

Fuel our Candidate Recruitment work with a grassroots donation of $5 or more to help us unseat the corporate-backed establishment and replace them with true representatives of the working class →
