One thing I look forward to every evening during my quarantine here in Brooklyn is joining my whole block at 7 o'clock to bang pots and pans, cheer, and pump music to honor the incredible healthcare providers and other essential workers who have been putting their lives on the line for us each day.

This Sunday May 31st, I am asking you to join Abortion Access Front for a very special tribute, specifically shouting out abortion providers as you clang your pots and pans.

Sunday is a very important and heartbreaking day for all of us, as it marks the 11th anniversary of the murder of Dr. George Tiller, one of the few brave providers who gave later abortion care in this country, who was killed by an anti-abortion extremist as he attended church in Wichita, KS.

Let's honor Dr. Tiller's legacy together and give some special appreciation to the abortion doctors, nurses, and front line staff who continue to give compassionate, essential abortion care for patients during the pandemic, and who are the only medical professionals who get constant hatred and death threats instead of public gratitude. LET'S FIX THAT!

HERE'S THE BIG PART: Make a video of you and your quarantine squad cheering on our providers and post on social media using the hashtag #Clap4AbortionProviders. We'll be yelling "Clap for abortion providers!" and "Remember Dr. Tiller!" but you do whatever moves you! Just make sure your neighbors can hear that you support abortion providers!
