friend.
The Trump Administration just announced their dangerous plan to gut life-saving gun violence prevention policies – and the timing is no mistake.
President Trump doesn’t want us to pay attention to his plan to dismantle every single piece of progress we’ve made against gun violence in this country, but [[friend]]: We will not look away.
If Trump gets his way,
❌ Expanded Brady Background Checks WILL BE GUTTED.
❌ Ghost gun regulations WILL BE ROLLED BACK.
❌ Rogue gun dealers are GETTING A FREE PASS.
We are ready to hold this administration accountable for their actions – that go against what the American people really want – and fight like hell to protect policies and laws that are saving lives.
But we need your help. Add your name to Brady’s urgent petition and send a clear message to the president: We condemn the Trump Administration’s latest assault on our lives.

Under the pretense of infringing on the right to bear arms, Attorney General Pam Bondi is going after common sense, bipartisan supported policies that save lives.
People will die as a result of this administration’s latest move, friend. And it is up to all of us to witness the reckless endangerment of the American people and fight against it as hard as we can. Gun violence drastically rose under the first Trump administration and he is setting the groundwork for it to rise again in his second.
Brady has been preparing for this moment and won’t back down to a President who won’t acknowledge the reality of the gun violence epidemic in this country. We will mobilize in state houses and town halls. We will work in state legislatures to pass common sense gun violence prevention laws. We will fight this administration in all levels of court.
Trump’s dangerous agenda to put Americans in danger and pad gun lobby pockets won’t end here and we cannot – and will not – stay silent in the face of an all out assault on our lives. So please, take action and tell Trump we’re not afraid to fight and condemn this latest deadly actions! [[link removed]]

Protecting Ourselves and Our Loved Ones
[link removed] [[link removed]]
The last two months have been a tumultuous time, friend. Due to recent executive orders, many people have faced unprecedented layoffs, a loss of social safety nets, and have felt the impact of attacks on marginalized communities.
These events can have a deep impact on many people’s mental health. It’s important to remember that these type of major life changes or loss of support systems can increase the risk of suicide.
That means it’s also an important time to practice secure firearm storage and remind others to do the same.
Firearms are the most lethal method of suicide and could turn what otherwise might be a temporary moment of crisis into a permanent, fatal tragedy. A suicide attempt with a firearm results in death 9 out of 10 times — leaving no second chance for help and healing.
Storing firearms locked, unloaded, and separate from ammunition gives time for an individual in crisis to reconsider and for their loved ones to intervene. This is critical because 70% of people who survive a suicide attempt will never attempt suicide again.
W e must remember to have conversations about safe storage, check in with our loved ones, and address suicide prevention head-on to save lives. Visit [[link removed]] endfamilyfire.org to learn more and find ways to protect yourself and your loved ones . [[link removed]]

Celebrating Women’s History Month
[link removed] [[link removed]]
This week for Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating former Representative Carolyn McCarthy for her years of dedicated, powerful work to end gun violence in America. Rep. McCarthy embodies one of our favorite quotes from our namesake, Sarah Brady: “if you can’t change the laws, change the lawmakers.”
In 1993, McCarthy’s husband and son were shot in a horrific tragedy on the Long Island Commuter Rail. Her husband was killed and her son was seriously wounded. This moment drove Rep. McCarthy to get involved in the gun violence prevention movement and work to ensure no one else would have to experience the grief she did that day. But when it became clear that the lawmakers who represented her weren't interested in talking about gun reform, McCarthy decided that she would take matters into her own hands and run for office. She won by a landslide.
For 18 years, she led efforts to strengthen Brady Background Checks and make our communities safer, in a time when it wasn’t popular to demand change for gun violence prevention. In 2024, she was awarded the Presidential Citizens Medal to honor her tireless work to prevent gun violence. Her legacy reminds us that change is possible when we combine courage with commitment to action.
Brady is proud to have worked with Rep. McCarthy. To honor her work, please join us in taking action and demanding our lawmakers protect life-saving gun violence prevention policies that people like Rep. McCarthy fought so hard for. [[link removed]]
