It’s International Women’s Day—a day to celebrate progress on women’s rights, but also to take action. Because gender equality isn’t just an idealistic hope for the future—it’s something we can all work towards daily.
I'm writing to share some wonderful stories of courageous women who are achieving change by leading actions in their communities, even when they face personal threats.
The world feels heavy right now—inequality is rising, hard-won rights are under threat, and too many people are being left behind. But here’s the thing: change isn’t always about big protests or new laws. It’s also about the everyday choices we make.
Three years ago, Womankind launched its Everyday Feminism campaign to show that we all hold the power to bring about meaningful change in our homes, communities and the world.
Everyday Feminism: The Anthology
For International Women’s Day 2025, we have created ‘Everyday Feminism: The Anthology’ —a collection of 10 stories that celebrate the work of feminist activists and the power of Everyday Feminism.
As part of the series, Womankind featured inspirational activists from our partner organisations. We are proud to know them and fund their important work. Click below to read interviews with the women featured:
We hope you are encouraged by reading about the actions of feminist activists worldwide that are pushing for change—from tackling gender-based violence to pushing for economic justice. And they need all of us. Every conversation, every donation, every moment of solidarity matters.
So, what’s your everyday act of feminism? Let us know by submitting it here. Whatever it is, keep going—because together, we’re shaping a fairer, more equal world.
