I’ll be honest: I went in with an open mind – willing to hear if the president had any proposals that would benefit the folks I’m proud to represent.
But the speech I heard was deeply divisive and frequently distorted the truth.
Look – I’m in Congress to make life better for Arizonans, full stop. I’ll work with anyone who wants to help do that. Unfortunately, President Trump doesn’t seem to share that view. And based on how vigorously my Republican colleagues were applauding for his bluster, we can be sure that the MAGA Majority can’t be relied upon to hold him and his administration accountable.
