In many cases, including those of the children whose story was told in Sound of Freedom, abduction occurs internationally and there are costs associated with hiring attorneys, filing petitions, and even traveling to the country where the child is located.

While the cost of returning an abducted child varies depending on the case, the truth is that the rescue of a missing child is an incredibly complex and expensive task.
