Our senators need to know we will not remain silent as the president threatens our schools, tries to eliminate the Department of Education, and attempts to break the law to cut billions of our dollars allocated to California's students and schools.

Sign the CFT letter - Urge CA senators to reject Linda McMahon

Unfortunately, in her Senate hearing for Education Secretary, Linda McMahon was unwilling to commit to protect students and strengthen public schools, instead agreeing with Trump that the Department of Education should be shut down.

Federal education programs and funding, such as Title I funding for low-income students and IDEA (funding for students with disabilities), are critical for our most vulnerable students and they enable all of our schools and students to thrive. Without them, our classes will be larger, vital services will be eliminated, and jobs will be cut.

We need a U.S. Secretary of Education that believes in our schools and fights for all of our students. That is not Linda McMahon.

Please sign the CFT letter today, urging Senators Padilla and Schiff to VOTE NO on Linda McMahon.
