“S.F. must rehire employees who refused to get vaccinated, court rules”
We are thrilled to share a major victory for religious freedom! In a case led by PJI, a federal appeals court has ruled that San Francisco must reinstate two employees who were forced out of their jobs for refusing the COVID-19 vaccine due to their religious beliefs. PJI attorney Russell Davis represented the employees, stating: “These individuals had sincere religious objections and had been working remotely before the mandate. There was no reason they could not continue doing so.”
This decision follows a similar case in which PJI secured a $7.8 million jury award for former BART employees who faced discrimination for their religious convictions earlier this year.
