President Trump and his billionaire sidekick Elon Musk are orchestrating a “shock and awe” campaign to dismantle the federal government as we know it. They’re issuing unlawful and unconstitutional orders, firing thousands of experienced employees, and cutting services that millions of Americans count on.

Thankfully, we’ve been preparing to fight back since Election Day, and here are just some of the ways we’re taking action to protect Minnesotans’ rights, freedoms, and way of life:

📣 Communications
Our communications team is working around the clock to counter Trump’s lies, highlight the stakes for Minnesota, and emphasize the DFL’s commitment to protecting democracy, defending reproductive freedom, and preserving essential services like Social Security and Medicare. Using a broad array of platforms–including social media, digital ads, and newsletters–they’re making sure our messages reach as many Minnesotans as possible.

🧐 Research
Our research team is watching the Trump administration’s every move and uncovering and highlighting the damaging consequences of its actions on social media and in the news. They’re working tirelessly to keep Minnesotans informed and engaged.

🤝 Party Affairs
Our party affairs team is building the network and infrastructure we need to connect activists with ways to take action and get involved in this critical moment. They’re working every day to empower local units to organize in their own communities, mobilize volunteers, organize the February 3, 2026 precinct caucuses, and make sure DFLers in every community in Minnesota are activated.

💰 Fundraising
Our fundraising team is working hard to make sure the party has enough resources to maintain our critical work. And that’s why we’re reaching out to you today: We have a critical budget deadline coming up tomorrow at midnight, and to reach our goal, we still need to raise $12,342.
