Already this year, hundreds of service members have deployed to the front lines of the wildfires in California and flooding in the South, assisting first responders and supporting those affected. And that’s after the ongoing work to help with rescue, recovery and rebuilding efforts after Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

With your help, the USO supports service members around the world, including these heroes. Two Mobile USOs have been active in the wildfire-affected areas since Jan. 13 and have been providing resources and services to make this tough time easier for our troops.
Now, with over 300 service members extended indefinitely in response to this crisis, the mission has moved to sustainment, and the USO is working to set up a center at Pacific Palisades that will remain as long as needed.

California is just one of hundreds of places the USO is supporting our men and women in uniform. Long after a disaster, when the headlines stop and the media moves on, service members remain in crisis-affected areas — and the USO remains with them.
Last fall, Hurricanes Helene and Milton devastated communities in North Carolina, Florida and across the Southeast. Service members quickly jumped into action, conducting search and rescue missions, clearing debris and delivering water and other lifesaving aid.
Service members arrive in North Carolina to support disaster relief efforts.
As they supported communities, we deployed 12 staff members and four Mobile USOs to the region. When service members worked long shifts in difficult conditions, the USO was there with food and water — sometimes their first warm meal in days — and other vital support.
Now, nearly six months later, service members are still in many of the affected communities, helping them recover and rebuild. Powered by your support, the USO continues to provide essential supplies to our military members.

Day in and day out, at home and abroad, service members go wherever they’re needed and make immense sacrifices to serve our communities. Thanks to your generosity, the USO is right there with them providing moral support, essential supplies and connections to home.
But this takes a lot of resources and coordination — approximately $225,000 every single day to keep our programs and services running all over the world. Will you make a donation of $29 or more now to help ensure the USO can always be there for our heroes in uniform?
Thank you for all you do to support our heroes — especially in moments of crisis.
