Tell Congress: REJECT the anti-voter “SAVE” Act >>
John,
Right now, House Republicans are fast-tracking their latest anti-voter effort – and I need your help to speak out today.
The so-called “SAVE” Act, which is being pushed by far-right special interests like ALEC, is meant to deter newly naturalized citizens from voting and make it harder for ALL eligible voters to cast a ballot. [1]
Let’s be clear – election deniers in Congress are pushing a solution in search of a problem.
It’s already 100% illegal for non-citizens to vote in federal elections – but the hurdles and red tape in their so-called “SAVE” Act would purge eligible voters from the rolls and make it significantly harder, if not outright impossible, for millions of Republican, Democratic, and independent voters to register and vote. [2]
The House of Representatives may vote on this awful bill as soon as next week, so we must act now. Urge Congress to REJECT the “SAVE” Act and protect millions of American voters >>
The “SAVE” Act would place the burden on every single American citizen to prove their citizenship when registering to vote or updating their voter registration, by either presenting a passport or a birth certificate in person – even though tens of millions of Americans don’t have these documents.
But that hasn’t stopped Speaker Mike Johnson and extremist lawmakers, who threatened to shut down our government last year in a desperate attempt to force this legislation through.
That’s all the proof you need that these politicians don’t really care about the integrity of our elections – but instead are doing this to get media attention, demonize immigrant communities, and flatter President Trump and his election lies.
We successfully stopped this dangerous legislation last year – but with a newly emboldened administration with majorities in Congress, it’s going to take all our collective effort to stop it again.
Write a message to your members of Congress urging them to REJECT the anti-voter "SAVE" Act >>
I hope you’ll join me in urging Congress to reject this legislation and protect millions of voters.
Thanks for all you do,
