Join Seattle DSA in Divesting Our Communities from Israeli Apartheid!

If you have not already heard, the Seattle and Tacoma Chapters of Democratic Socialists of America have launched a grassroots BDS campaign called Boycott War Profiteers and we invite you to join us to make Seattle apartheid-free!

You can take action to push Seattle businesses to divest from Israeli apartheid through these 4 easy steps:

  1. Send a message to the leadership of PCC groceries asking them to divest from Israeli apartheid and support their workers.
  2. Join this week's table on Sunday, March 9th outside Central District PCC.
  3. Tell Artist and Craftsman Supply management to stop firing workers for standing with Palestine.
  4. Sign up to get involved with building more Boycott War Profiteers campaigns like these!

The movement for Palestinian liberation isn't going anywhere; let's make Seattle apartheid-free!

For a Free Palestine,

Seattle DSA

Support Workers Demanding Justice!

Tomorrow, March 8th, 5pm - 7pm
Dastoor (formerly Royal India; 7531 196th St SW, Lynnwood, WA)

Seattle Solidarity Network (SeaSol) has been fighting Royal India and its owners, the Bhattis, for over two years. The restaurant has dozens of documented cases of wage theft as well as innumerable accusations by community members including the Bhattis' nanny, their plumber, teens they hire in the summer, random passersby during pickets, and 11 workers.

SeaSol and other community allies are putting pressure on the owners as two workers seek restitution totaling roughly two thousand dollars. Over the course of this fight, organizers have made it a costly battle for the Bhattis with the latter trying to rebrand their sole remaining storefront to shake all the bad publicity.

Just as SeaSol was considering holding their final picket, the Bhattis offered to pay workers...but the checks have not arrived! The workers and SeaSol want to turn up the pressure and squeeze the checks out of them, so they are holding a large mobilization with partner organizations this weekend.

Join SeaSol, Seattle DSA, and other community allies tomorrow, March 8th, from 5pm-7pm to keep the pressure on the bosses as workers demand justice! More information on the campaign can be found at RoyalIndiaWageTheft.com
