Big news: Yesterday, we secured a court order to continue blocking President Trump’s unlawful federal funding freeze!

This is another step toward victory against Trump’s illegal power grab. For now, a U.S. District Court ruled that the Trump administration cannot implement this freeze while litigation continues.

If allowed to go into effect, the funding freeze would threaten hundreds of billions of dollars California receives annually for vital public safety, healthcare, childcare, and infrastructure funding, as well as other essential services that our communities rely on.

We also secured a temporary restraining order to prevent Trump from implementing massive funding cuts to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which conducts life-saving medical research.
