Republicans are waging a war against the right to vote.
Recently, Donald Trump threatened Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan on Twitter -- saying he would deny relief aid to the state if it allowed its residents to vote by mail in November.
Meanwhile, the Texas Supreme Court, composed entirely of Republicans, just blocked a Democratic effort to expand vote-by-mail, saying the current public health situation doesn’t merit any special circumstances.
The GOP’s motives are all too clear -- Republicans know when voters vote, Trump and his allies lose. Trump even admitted as much on Fox News. And now they’re shamelessly blocking vote-by-mail and disenfranchising voters to support their partisan agenda -- which is why, if you believe voting in the coming election should be safe and secure for all Americans, we need your help in calling on Congress to fund and protect Universal Vote-by-Mail for every eligible citizen.
