After Donald Trump’s election in 2016, we knew we had to take action. Emerge made critical investments in women running for office across the country to help take back the House in the midterms and hold Trump’s Administration accountable.

Our investments are continuing to pay off as we look to take on a second Trump Administration that is better funded and more organized than ever before!

Emerge alums Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis in California, Sec. Deb Haaland in New Mexico and Rep. Abigail Spanberger in Virginia are stepping up to lead their state and joining our growing Gubernatorial caucus to build a stronger firewall! When elected, they will join fellow Emerge alums and sitting Governors Katie Hobbs in Arizona and Lou Leon Guerrero in Guam.

Women have historically held far fewer governorships than men, with just eight Democratic women currently serving as governors–but we have the opportunity to expand our power and help close the gap!
