Governor DeWine announced the appointment of Dennis Barr to the Canton Municipal Court.
Barr, of Canton, will assume office on March 10, 2025, and will be taking the seat formerly held by Judge Curt Werren, whom Governor DeWine appointed to the Stark County Court of Common Pleas, Probate Division on January 10, 2025. Barr will serve the remainder of the unfinished term and will need to run for election in November 2025 to retain the seat.

Governor DeWine released the following statement after the death of Dolly Parton's husband, Carl Dean:
"Fran and I are thinking about Dolly Parton following the news that her husband, Carl Dean, died today. We will always love Dolly and will be praying for her and her family at this difficult time."

Governor DeWine announced the appointment of Zachary Zoz to the Fairfield Municipal Court.
Zoz, of Fairfield, will assume office on March 31, 2025, and will be taking the seat formerly held by Judge Joyce Campbell, who retired. Zoz will serve the remainder of the unfinished term and will need to run for election in November 2025 to retain the seat.

Governor DeWine announced the appointment of Mark Fowler to the Delaware Municipal Court.
Fowler, of Delaware, will assume office on March 25, 2025, and will be taking the seat formerly held by Judge Marianne Hemmeter, whom Governor DeWine appointed to the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, General Division. Fowler will serve the remainder of the unfinished term and will need to run for election in November 2025 to retain the seat.
