Far too many families, including my own, have felt the pain of losing a loved one to triple-negative breast cancer. We must fight this aggressive disease with an equally aggressive response.
As we marked Triple-Negative Breast Cancer Awareness Day on March 3rd, I proudly introduced legislation in honor of my daughter, Lauren, to help more people receive access to life-saving information and treatments. I was joined by the TNBC Foundation and TOUCH, the Black Breast Cancer Alliance, this week to talk about the importance of this legislation and spread awareness about this devastating disease.
