About Solicitors
Solicitors, including peddlers and transient merchants, who wish to work in Mendota Heights are required to register with the City prior to operating. Non-profit sales and informational canvassing do not require registration.
Solicitors are allowed to work in the City from 9 a.m. until 30 minutes before sunset, and they are required to wear a badge showing their name and company.
If you wish to exclude solicitors and peddlers from your property, you must post a sign near the entrance of your home with the words “Peddlers and Solicitors Prohibited.” The sign should be at least four inches long by four inches wide. The City also provides laminated signs free to residents at City Hall or the Police Department.
If you see someone in your neighborhood selling door-to-door and have any questions or concerns, please call the Mendota Heights Police Department at 651-452-1366. In case of an emergency, or for an immediate response, always call 9-1-1.

Controlling Invasive Species Naturally
There may be times when using herbicide to control invasive species is necessary. However, there are plenty of means and strategies that you can use to control invasive species naturally.
