![]() Have you ever taken a look at the Kansas Republican Party’s official platform? It’s about as extreme as it gets. It calls for banning same-sex marriage, taking away abortion rights, and restricting Medicaid access — so that Kansans who can’t afford health insurance would lose access to their life-saving care. And that’s not all: Just this month, the Kansas GOP elected a former spokesperson for Kris Kobach as its new chair — a Republican so extreme, he tried to remove nearly 20,000 registered voters from Kansas’ voter rolls while spreading debunked claims of widespread election fraud. That means the Kansas Republican Party is about to get even more out-of-touch.
Unlike many of her colleagues in Washington, Sharice didn’t run for Congress to create a bunch of shocking headlines. She ran to protect every Kansan’s access to abortion. She ran to defend Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid from cuts. And she ran to deliver real results to the people of KS-03 — like thousands of good-paying clean-energy jobs and broadband internet for rural communities. It’s clear that extreme politicians in the Kansas Republican Party are hell-bent on dictating how we live our lives. On the other hand, Sharice is fighting every day to defend our freedoms, expand opportunities, and bring common sense back to Washington.
