Our friends at the Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District are holding their Spring Seedling Sale very soon. This sells out every year because you can get 6 native tree and shrub seedlings for only $20!

Seedlings can be picked up from Falls Church on March 28 or March 29. Due to high demand, the NVSWCD has three opportunities for you to pre-order your seedlings - at 10:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 27th, 2025. If you haven't already, you will be asked to make an account on the NVSWCD Storefront before placing your first order. Create your account NOW so that you are ready to order on February 27 when the sale opens.

Seedlings available are American Beautyberry, Sweetbay Magnolia, Possumhaw Holly, Smooth Sumac, Black Chokeberry and Eastern Redbud. Click here to learn more about these species.
