Kendrick at the Super Bowl, Beyoncé winning album of the year, it’s been quite the Black History Month!
However, not everyone is feeling the culture.
House Republicans have spent February baselessly blaming national tragedies on Black Americans and attacking the core and basic values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
As my Republican colleagues – and many corporations hoping to gain favor with the current administration – rush to end celebrations of Black History Month, I’m more proud than ever of our community, and I’ll keep acknowledging the strength and resilience of our people.
Friend, our fight for equality is not over. Now, the duty falls on me to lead the CBC as our most prominent, most capable, and most powerful political tool in fighting back against Republican attempts to push an anti-Black agenda and make a mockery of Black history. And let me set the record straight for my Republican colleagues: Black history IS American history.
We’re on the frontlines on MAGA’s attacks, and we need to be ready for anything. Will you chip in whatever you can so I’m ready to lead the CBC and do whatever we can to oppose their dangerous policies?
Thanks as always for all your continuing support.
