Secretary Gray Applauds Passage of Bill to Ban Foreign Funding of Ballot Measures

*       CHEYENNE, WY* – On March 6th, *House Bill 337* [ [link removed] ], which bans foreign funding of ballot measures in Wyoming, was signed into law. House Bill 337, which was sponsored by Representative Nina Webber, passed the Wyoming House of Representatives on third reading 58-2, and passed the Wyoming Senate on third reading 31-0.

     In a statement, Secretary Gray said, "I applaud the Legislature's passage of one of the ten planks of our conservative election integrity reform agenda to ban foreign funding of elections. Foreign funding has no place in our elections - period. This is a landmark piece of legislation, as Wyoming is now the second state in the nation to pass this ban. I want to thank Representative Webber for her great work. This bill, a key part of our election integrity reform agenda, is pivotal to ensure foreign nationals are banned from meddling in Wyoming elections."
