John, after securing an historic $1.5 billion in federal funding to replace the I-5 bridge last year, I’m still fighting to see this critical project through to the end.
This month, I joined with bipartisan members of our regional Congressional delegation to invite Transportation Secretary Duffy to tour the bridge and see firsthand just how necessary and urgent the replacement effort is. Add your name here to amplify our call to action:
The I-5 bridge plays a vital role in transporting freight both between states and internationally, with
billions of dollars’ worth of goods traveling by truck via the I-5 corridor. So, it’s no exaggeration that replacing it is absolutely critical to our region.
By inviting Sec. Duffy to visit, I’m making sure that strengthening the safety and efficiency of this vital interstate artery stays at the top of our priority list. I’ll never stop fighting for bipartisan solutions like this major infrastructure project – because these are the projects that truly improve the lives of the Southwest Washingtonians living and working in our district.
Sign on here and join me in underscoring our commitment to making sure the federal government follows through on this critical investment:
Thanks for standing with us.
